Femme Ferments — Beauty in the Broken Glass

Beauty in the Broken Glass
Strength in the fractures, grace in the pieces, hope in every shard. Femme Ferments
crafts wines for a purpose —supporting nonprofit organizations that empower & connect women to strengthen communities. Born from resilience, guided by intention, and dedicated to giving back, we donate 100% of our profits to partners ensuring that every bottle creates meaningful impact beyond the glass. This commitment is not an initiative or a campaign. It is the reason we exist.
“100% of profits Empower and Connect Women to Build Community!”
Collaboration
We can all be collaborators just by offering what we already have, be it time, talent, or product. We gratefully welcome every beautiful heart that has something to offer the cause. Our wines are produced in the Oregon Willamette Valley in cooperation with local growers, producers and community members who share our commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and community. Together we create phenomenally impactful collaborations that inspire and build our community.

Power & Grace

Grown in the world-class volcanic Willamette Valley soils of the Eola - Amity AVA , this delicious Spanish varietal is poised and expressive. Our first release Albariño reflects the quiet power found in resilience and the grace that carries us forward. Crafted with intention, it balances strength and elegance—marking the beginning of Femme Ferments with confidence and purpose.
Hope & Grit

Grown in the Northern Willamette Valley's volcanic and ancient sea bed soils. It is a partnership with local growers and producers reflecting both the nuance of the world-class region and the perseverance behind its creation. The wine is elegant, grounded and quite powerful, embodying hope through patience and grit.

The People Behind It
The Femme Ferments team

Karen Wright
Karen show here with original co-founder Jessica Lindley (left). Femme Ferments was the brain-child of these two friends in 2024. Though Jessica has moved on, we will always appreciate her creative and inspired energy that was instrumental in the launch of the Femme Ferments project. Karen Wright, proprietor at Ken Wright Cellars for over 30 years, has always dedicated herself to community through non-profit work. She was chef at KWC for 12 years as she raised her daughters, Josie and Evy, volunteering in the community through Carlton Together Cares, Salud, and Carlton’s Walk in the Park. In 2010, when the girls fell in love with the beautiful game of soccer and with a fundraising opportunity through Doran Chevrolet, Karen started the community non-profit YC Soccer Club under the YC Together Cares non-profit umbrella. The Wright family built a facility in Carlton that the youth still use today with zero facility charges ever. Karen served on the YCTC board for nearly 15 years, where her family and KWC hosted many years of highly successful fundraising events. Karens nationally recognized community soccer programming, provides over 700 hours of free programming, and beyond 10,000 hours of documented volunteerism through youth mentorship & empowerment programs. Karen has earned three Life-time Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, selected as US Youth Soccer’s National Volunteer of the Year, OYSA Volunteer of the year, and continues to volunteer over 2500 hours annually for community. The soccer club and Femme Ferments may seem very different concepts, but both programs are based on the idea of empowerment. Soccer is Karens tool to empower youth and families, and Femme Ferments is a tool to empower women to build community.
